“Sound of The Underground” is the winners single from Girls Aloud for “Popstars: The Rivals”. The track hit #1 for Christmas 2022, beating male counterparts One True Voice. “Sound of The Underground” was featured on their debut album of the same name. The track was originally intended for Xenomania’s own girl group, which had yet to be formed. The track is registered on ASCAP with Girls Aloud as a credited artist.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the song, Girls Aloud released an alternate version of the song featuring vocals from different girls.
